WHY GOD SAYS "NO"

Good day to you, and thank you for visiting my blog. The article below is a good followup to my previous about FALSE EXPECTATIONS. The point to understand is NOT that God will not answer our prayers according to what we ask everytime; the point to learn is that we are so limited and finite, and no matter how godly and righteous we may think we are, our heart although already changed and still changing into God's likeness more and more (i hope this is true for you, by HIS WORD and HIS SPIRIT), yet we all know how prone to sin and unrighteousness we still are. Recognising this, we ought to always open the possibility that what we ask is really not in our best interest or that of the person we are praying for; we should still pour our heart out to God and ask as we feel led; and then leave it to God's amazing grace and righteous acts always to answer and bring about a new reality, for which we must give thanks. I have learned a new chinese saying that translated goes something like this: IN GOD'S POWER, OUR BIGGEST CONCERN IS ONLY A SMALL MATTER; IN GOD'S LOVE, OUR SMALLEST CONCERN IS A BIG MATTER TO HIM. Be edify.

WHY GOD SAYS "NO"

I asked God to take away my habit.

God said, No.It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.

God said, No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.

God said, No.Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.

God said, No.I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.God said, No.Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.

God said, No.You must grow on your own! ,but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.

God said, No.I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

May God Bless You,"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world.
